AirAsia is offering a drive-through rapid Covid-19 testing for passengers leaving from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

Costing Rp95,000 (US$6.51), the service is provided daily from 4am to 8pm at Soewarna Business Park at the airport.

To utilise the service, passengers have to show their identity card and booking ID, register and complete payment. After that, a sample will be taken and results will take 10 to 15 minutes.

The results and medical certificate will be valid for 14 days.

According to the airline's Indonesia director Veranita Yosephine, this service will be expanded to Indonesian cities that they currently serve.

The airline has gradually resumed its operations and is now serving domestic routes from Jakarta to Bali, Lombok, Medan, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.

Earlier this month, AirAsia Indonesia updated its baggage policy and announced that passengers could bring two carry-on bags (a total of 7kg) with certain requirements.
