SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines has released details of its April timetable showing drastic cuts to services across the board.
The airline will operate flights to just three European cities - London, Frankfurt and Zurich.
The airline is flying to just four destinations in North Asia; Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo Narita, and Chongqing. Across the month, there are four return services to the two Chinese cities, nine return services to Seoul and 11 return services to Tokyo Narita.
The airline is flying to six destinations in South-east Asia, namely Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Jakarta. There are four services to Hanoi, 11 to Ho Chi Minh and eight to Manila.
There are 12 return services to Bangkok, 13 return services to Kuala Lumpur and 22 return services to Jakarta.
Singapore Airlines' only North American destination in April will be Los Angeles with the airline operating 13 return flights. Sydney is SIA’s only Australian destination in April with 12 return flights.
Airline capacity worldwide is down 77% year over year for the first week of April, according to a ForwardKeys analysis.
Carriers are scheduled to fly just 10 million seats between March 30 and April 5, down from 44.2 million a year ago.
