Water adventure seekers have a new spot to add to their list: the Sun World Vũng Tàu, a massive water paradise spanning 150,000sqm about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City.
The family-friendly beachfront destination sits within Blanca City, a luxury seaside urban development by the Sun Group.
Park play is sectioned into four themed zones. These blend eastern and western influences, from traces of ancient European maritime routes, to floating market villages and the pre-angkorian Phù Nam civilisation.
Within, guests can explore 20 major attractions fitted with some 100 water slides. Among them are several record-breaking rides and regional firsts.
The Aqua Warriors Battle ride is the world’s first 10-lane super water racing slide. Sun World Vũng Tàu is also home to Asia’s longest water coasters at 348 metres, and an ultra-long lazy river stretching up to 650 metres.
Among Sun World’s ecosystem of theme parks - including at Hon Thom and Ha Long – Vũng Tàu additionally houses its largest wave pool at 6,000sqm.
Serpent's Aquarium starts at nearly 20m in height, sending riders in six-person rafts swinging from one wall to the next, accelerating sideways at speeds of up to 33 km/h for 180m of adventure.
A park of this size has also catered rides for families and younger ones.
Mystic Ocean Voyage breaks the current world record to be Asia's first and world's longest mini blaster ride for children. Meanwhile, Mekong Water Battle is the region's first modular multi-level aquatic play structure incorporating 20 platforms and spanning over 1,800 sqm. Kids can explore more than 180m of decks, bridges, and 132 play features, alongside nine slides.
A full F&B setup of indoor and outdoor buffet restaurants and dining outlets offer respite throughout the day.
