Pacific World has become the latest casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic, as the 40-year-old destination, conference and event company has announced its pending closure.

In a letter circulated to partners, Pacific World will cease its operations from November 2020 while its Hong Kong office will shutter from 14 September 2020.

Additional information or enquiries could still be directed to myrequest@pacificworld.com until the end of September, according to the Pacific World.

The company says it continues its belief in the industry with the eventual recovery of the global economy.

"Today's reduced travel budgets and cancelled meetings and events are tomorrow's pent-up demand and people will continue to meet for business events again. We believe the industry will recover over the next 12 to 18 months, and over time, our passion and legacy of innovation will continue to help us to create better outstanding experiences."
