New low-cost carrier TOKI AIR will be using Sabre's airline tech platform Radixx when it launches sales in March 2022, for initial flights within Japan.

Operating ATR 72-600s, TOKI AIR flew a test flight from Tokyo Narita Airport to Sado Airport earlier on 24 May, and will commence actual flights towards mid 2022 originating out of Niigata Airport to major domestic destinations.

The carrier will use travel platform Radixx's product suite: Radixx ezyCommerce, Radixx Res, Radixx Go, Radixx Go Touch, and Radixx Insight.

Local travel agents will be able to use the Travel Agency Portal in Radixx's ezyCommerce internet booking engine, and TOKI AIR will go live on the Radixx Res passenger services system which will offer centralised management of flight and value-added services.

The travel platform also means TOKI AIR can quickly setup fare and ancillary offers as well as automate processes, while Radixx Go departure services suite and Radixx Go Touch mobile solutions will enable TOKI AIR to evolve its check-in operations at the airport and easily expand capacity during peak season using roaming agents — for an efficient airport experience for travellers.
