Macau's on the lookout for artistic young talents in the Greater Bay Area.

The 'Time Is On My Side – 2021 Greater Bay Area Young Artists Scheme' competition is now open for submissions to individuals or teams aged 18 to 45 from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

Organised by the Greater Bay Area Young Artists Scheme Organizing Committee, the competition is held in support of the Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021 series of events organised by the Macau government.

A total of 24 winners in two categories, painting and photography, will share cash prizes totalling more than RMB 1 million (US$155,000).

A prize presentation and exhibition opening ceremony will be held in September, and the winning art pieces will be displayed at The Londoner Macao.

Dr Wilfred Wong, President, Sands China, a sponsor of the competition, said: “There is a wealth of talent across the Greater Bay Area, and events such as this one will give our outstanding young artists the opportunity to shine. We look forward to seeing the winning art pieces when they are exhibited at The Londoner Macao.”
