Expo 2020, set to open to the world on 1 October 2021, has launched Thrive Together — a new business-focused programme which will offer curated networking, knowledge-sharing and thought-leadership events.

Nadia Verjee, Expo 2020 Dubai chief of staff, said: “As one of the first mega-events to take place since the beginning of the pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai will be an important milestone for the global business community...as together we reach a critical juncture in reimagining the global economy.”

The Thrive Together programme will include 10 thematic business forums, supported by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. These sessions will spotlight emerging business opportunities, cutting-edge technologies, and address global challenges including climate change and biodiversity, space, and knowledge and learning.

Attendees can also expect three Global Business Forums, including the first edition of Global Business Forum ASEAN, which will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) — the largest venue at Expo 2020.

Facilitating the event is the AI-powered Thrive Together app, which will enable meaningful B2B (business to business), B2G (business to government) and G2G (government to government) interactions across geographies and industries, by suggesting potential matches for users based on their profiles, expertise, objectives and interaction patterns.

In addition, a business calendar will be updated daily, delivering the latest details on inbound business delegations, and all business events taking place across the Expo site, including in DEC, International Participants’ pavilions, and the Expo 2020 Business Connect Centre.

To access the above programmes, existing Expo 2020 ticket (starting from US$27.42) holders can consider adding the Premium Experience package (US$505.05) which will be valid across the six months of the event, including unlimited visits and fast track entry.

Other premium benefits include priority access to a number of networking and thought leadership events including Thrive Together's Thematic Business Forums, a dedicated concierge, entry to an exclusive Premium Lounge, enhanced access to the Expo B2B App, guided tours and F&B discounts.
