Kempinski Hotels now has a new room category for its wellness-seeking travellers: the Kempinski Fit Room.
The four hotels currently offering Fit Rooms are Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates Dubai, Grand Hotel Kempinski Shanghai in China, Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich, and Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, featuring in-room workout solutions and on-demand fitness services powered by Technogym, the official supplier for the last eight Olympic Games.
Guests can expect a Technogym Bike replicating the indoor cycling experience, complete with music and lights too, directly from the machine's console.
Digital classes hosted by trainers from different cities around the world are available 24/7 from an on-demand library, which is segregated based on preferred trainers, type of workout and language.
There's also the Technogym Case — a range of exercise tools including a foam roller, massage ball, exercise mat, loop bands in three levels of resistance — in a specially designed bag, supported by a library of training video contents.
Guests just need to scan a QR code, and enter a guided workout with a virtual trainer on their phones.
"The trend towards wellness and health, which has been growing steadily in recent years, will certainly intensify in the future. With the new room category, we are meeting the need of our guests to stay fit on the go and to implement a perfect workout without having to leave the hotel," said Marc Feller, senior director customer experience.
"The Kempinski Fit Room is an important part of our corporate strategy around wellness and sustainability, and complements the just recently completed acquisition of all shares in spa provider Resense."
More destinations are expected to boast the Kempinski Fit Room in the coming months, added Feller.
