Swiss-Belhotel International will be adding eight new properties to its Indonesia portfolio, bringing the total number of operating hotels to 83 by 2024.

The new properties will cover the three-star Swiss-Belcourt brand, the four-star Swiss-Belhotel brand and the four star Swiss-Belresort brand, peppered across various cities in the archipelago including Kupang, Makassar, Nusa Penida - Bali, Biak, Central Java and Jakarta.

“Indonesia has been critical in the global development of the Group," said Gavin M. Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International’s chairman and president, of the brand's entry into the destination some 30 years ago.

According to Faull, the expansion also signals the hotel management group's trust and commitment to Indonesia’s economic growth and development.

"We recognised the potential of Indonesia early on and have been one of the most progressive and dynamic international hotel management groups in the country, especially over the past 10 years where our growth has been exponential.”

Of the eight, five hotels will open by the end of this year: the 102-room Swiss-Belhotel Cendrawasih Biak; 98-room Swiss-Belcourt Kupang; 75-room Swiss-Belcourt Makassar; 62 villas and rooms of four star premium resort - The Gamat Bay, Nusa Penida, Bali; and 163-room Swiss-Belhotel Arjuna, Legian, Bali.

Indonesia's capital will welcome the 316-room Swiss-Belhotel Kelapa Gading, Jakarta in 2022, and in 2023 the 271-room Swiss-Belhotel Purwokerto will open. Details of the final hotel is yet to be released.
