K-pop superstar Lisa Manobal of Blackpink has been unveiled as Thailand’s newest tourism ambassador, tapping into the global reach of one of the country’s most recognisable cultural exports.
The Thailand-born artist was officially appointed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) as its Amazing Thailand Ambassador at Wat Arun last week, marking the launch of the authority’s latest global campaign, Feel All The Feelings.
The campaign leans into emotion-led storytelling, inviting travellers to reconnect with Thailand through experiences that go beyond sightseeing – helping them to ‘Feel Alive’ again.
"TAT is confident that Thailand can be the answer,” said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, governor of the TAT. "We are a land of diversity, colour, and vitality, ready to offer an exceptional experience for visitors to feel every emotion, from happiness, serenity, excitement, and challenge, to the warmth of smiles and hospitality, the intriguing mystery of new places, and the wonder of unseen locations."
Furthermore, the Feel All the Feelings campaign aims is to shift tourists from popular landmarks to hidden-gem destinations, increasing the quality of their spending and the value per trip, in line with TAT’s Value over Volume strategy.
In the production, Lisa is also joined by other renowned Thai stars and actors such as Win - Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, Gulf - Kanawut Traipipattanapong, and Blue - Pongtiwat Tangwancharoen.
Filmed across the country, the TVC highlights a mix of iconic and lesser-known sites, including the Lanna Candle Ceremony at Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, Lampang’s floating pagodas, the sea of mist at Phu Langka in Phayao, Wat Arun in Bangkok, Udon Thani’s Red Lotus Sea, and Thi Lo Su Waterfall in Tak.
