Following Netflix’s popular reality fitness show, Physical: Asia, the contestants-turned-friends have prompted a sequel: Physical: Welcome to Mongolia.

The Mongolian team, which lost in the face off to the winning Korea team, had invited their new friends to their hometown.

In this series, Mongolian team captain Erhengbayar personally planned the travel itinerary, which promised “real Mongolian-style” experiences and places frequented by locals.

Erhengbayar, who’s also a traditional wrestling champion, will bring team Korea to see his special training methods, explore Mongolia’s vast steppes, and enjoy home-cooked meals by a former Cirque du Soleil member.

In a video call exchange posted on 3 December on Netflix’s official social media, the South Korean members expressed regret about the short trip, even hinting to “play without sleeping for 24 hours”. With clear chemistry between the teams, viewer expectations – and renewed travel interest – are growing for the travelogue.

The first two episodes of Physical: Welcome to Mongolia will be released on 24 December, followed by the final two episodes on 31 December.
