Singapore Airlines will resume flying from Frankfurt to New York JFK and from Hong Kong to San Francisco on 2 November 2021. Both routes, which continue on to Singapore, have been suspended since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The airline will fly JFK-Frankfurt-Singapore daily and San Francisco-Hong Kong-Singapore three-times weekly.
The carrier said it is resuming the routes in response to the announcement last week by the Biden administration that it will reopen US borders to vaccinated travellers.
With the resumptions of those routes, Singapore Airlines will be flying 65% of its pre-Covid frequencies to the US. The carrier has yet to announce service resumptions on its Seattle-Singapore and Houston-Manchester, England-Singapore routes, though it said it will eventually do so.
