Bar Leone from Hong Kong has claimed the title of The World’s Best Bar 2025.

The 17th edition of the awards, sponsored by Perrier, took place at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, overlooking Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour, before more than 2,000 of the world’s leading bartenders, hospitality professionals and drinks industry figures.

Runner up to Bar Leone was Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City, ahead of Sips in Barcelona, Paradiso, also in Barcelona, and Tayer+Elementary in London.

Bars in Asia figured prominently in the Top 50 Best Bars list.

Jigger and Pony in Singapore filled ninth spot, followed by Bar Us in Bangkok (15th), Zest in Seoul (16th) and Coa in Hong Kong (38th).

In Tokyo, two bars, Virtu (45th) and The Bellwood (48th) rounded out the Top 50 with BKK Social Club in Bangkok (49th) and Nutmeg and Clove (50th) in Singapore.
