JTB has received exclusive rights as the official agent in Japan for the Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2027, as well as a right to sell tickets overseas.

The mega sports event will take place from 1 October to 13 November across seven cities in Australia: Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Townsville.

Apart from ticket-inclusive exclusive tours, JTB packages will include accommodations and excursions in Australia.

Acquisition of exclusive rights to RWC 2027 is part of JTB’s long-term focus on high-value-added sports tourism, following a hospitality programme partnership with Major League Baseball in the United Sates.

JTB is one of 15 official travel agencies from nine countries exclusively authorised to sell ticket-inclusive travel packages for RWC 2027.
