The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has issued a warning to the public to engage only licensed travel agents when purchasing travel products, following reports of unlicensed operators offering tour packages.

STB identified an individual, Lim Yi Shoon, and two companies, I-Travel Pte. Ltd. and LikeTravel Pte. Ltd., who allegedly supplied travel products without the required licence. The parties are currently under investigation.

Operating as a travel agent without a valid licence in Singapore is an offence under the Travel Agents Act 1975, carrying a fine of up to $25,000, imprisonment of up to two years, or both.

Travellers who may have engaged with these entities are urged to file a report via go.gov.sg/contactstbform, and verify agents’ credentials through the Travel Agents directory on the TRUST website.
