Atlas Ocean Voyages announced the inaugural season of Atlas Adventurer, which will be sailing itineraries across Asia and Africa – regions never before featured in the brand’s destination portfolio.

Starting 6 November 2028 in Kobe, Japan and culminating in late spring 2029 in Athens, Greece, the expedition sailing yacht will reach new ports across Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean before transitioning into East and Southern Africa.

Some Asian highlights include a Kobe roundtrip (12 nights), Bangkok to Bali (14 nights), Manila to Singapore (13 nights). The vessel then moves to Africa in February from Phuket to Mahé (15 nights), reaching safari zones of Cape Town and Mombasa, before the final Mahé to Athens leg (21 nights).

Shoreside experiences have also been curated to spotlight cultural encounters and regional cuisine.

These could mean guided explorations of bustling street markets in Bangkok, snorkeling and kayaking in Philippines' Palawan and Puerto Princesa waters, marine safaris and whale watching in Mossel Bay, South Africa, to encountering the endemic lemur species while exploring ylang-ylang plantations at Andoany (Hell-Ville) on Nosy Be, Madagascar.

For passengers wanting more, extended journeys of over 40 nights can be booked. Extraordinary Expeditions offers four journeys:

  • 23 December 2028 (40 nights) – Bangkok to Singapore

  • 10 February 2029 (42 nights) – Bali to Mombasa

  • 7 April 2029 (45 nights) – Cape Town to Athens

  • 30 November 2028 (128 nights) – Kobe to Cape Town

Reservations onboard Atlas Adventurer for suite bookings opened 20 May for Atlas Yacht Club members, with general availability beginning 10 June 2026.

As part of a launch offer, passengers who book a suite on the inaugural season may select one amenity from the following: an air credit of up to US$3,000 per suite, complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi, or a pre-expedition hotel stay. Those booking within the Concierge Collection can choose two amenities, while guests securing a Reserve Collection Suite will enjoy all three amenities.
