The Seoul International Garden Show is scaling up significantly for its 2026 edition, as it expands into its largest and longest-running format to date.

Running from 1 May to 27 October, this year’s show will be 4.5 times larger than last year’s event at Boramae Park to span a total area of 710,000 sqm, including a major urban corridor across Seoul Forest, linking the Hangang River, Seongsu-dong and Konkuk University Station.

Under the theme ‘Seoul, Green Culture’, the number of gardens will increase from 111 last year to 150 for the new edition, featuring works from world-renowned designers to everyday citizens, as well as domestic and international artists.

A highlight is the 10km, 30,000sqm linear garden connecting Seongsu-dong and Konkuk University Station, transforming the entire area into a continuous, unified green space.

Another highlight is the “significant expansion of donation gardens” by major K-culture brands such as K-pop management group SM Entertainment, instant noodle and snack company Nongshim, beauty brand Clio, and Youngpoong Bookstore – which count among the 45 currently confirmed businesses.

Their involvement will introduce branded installations and pop-ups featuring characters such as Pokémon, Kakao Friends and SMTown Planner, as well as installations made with Lego.

In addition to the garden installations, docent-led tours offering in-depth interpretation will be held regularly, including customised programmes for international visitors and people with limited mobility, such as persons with disabilities.

Visitors can also access instant information in nine languages via QR codes installed at each garden.

Additional visitor amenities include expanded seating areas and a wider selection of food trucks across the event grounds.
