Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced a luxury hotel project, which will open in 2H 2026 within its City of Dreams resort located in Macao's Cotai Strip.

The hotel REM replaces the former Countdown Hotel tower, which previously operated as the Hard Rock Hotel. The tower has since closed in 2021.

REM is expected to deliver contemporary luxury through its suite-driven experience, avant-garde artistic design and innovative service when it opens later this year.

Instead of 330 standard rooms of before, the new hotel will offer some 150 ultra-luxury suites, spanning a spacious 93sqm or more each. REM will also carry a casino, retail, events and other entertainment options.

Concurrently, redevelopment works are also happening at the resort’s retail and F&B offerings, as part of a larger brand refresh for City of Dreams Macau.
