TikTok has officially launched its lifestyle services platform, TikTok GO, in Indonesia, Japan and the US, marking a deeper push into travel commerce and in-app bookings.

The new product allows users to discover and book local services – including hotels, attractions and tours – directly within TikTok.

Users would find accommodation and things to do in the same ways people already discover content on TikTok – through videos, local feed, and location pages.

Once they find something they like, users can view details, check availability, and complete a booking in a few steps.

TikTok GO was first introduced in Indonesia in late April. The platform partnered with Tokopedia, one of Indonesia's largest technology companies and e-commerce platforms for this new launch.

In the US, major partners include Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Trip.com.

GetYourGuide has described the move as a win-win for both travellers and especially small local operators.

"Whether it's visiting the Vatican or checking out a cooking class in Tokyo, we're collapsing the time between inspiration and action. With over 200,000 experiences across 12,000 destinations, GetYourGuide is well-positioned to power that moment at scale, giving our operators – many of them small, local businesses – direct access to a massive, travel-hungry audience,” said Johannes Reck, Co-Founder & CEO.

“Experiences have become the primary reason people travel, not an afterthought. With TikTok GO, we're at the center of that transformation, right at the moment of inspiration,” she added.
