Come 2027, Singapore will play host to D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the first Asian edition to be held in Singapore.
D23 is the brand’s official fan club launched in 2009, named after the Disney branding and the year Walt Disney founded his first studio in Hollywood.
The mega convention builds on the legacy of ultimate Disney fan events in Anaheim, California, which has since expanded to Brazil and now Singapore. Japan previously hosted the D23 meet in 2013, 2015 and 2018.
“Bringing D23 to Singapore reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are,” said Asad Ayaz, chief marketing and brand officer, The Walt Disney Company.
Fans can expect a multi-day affair, pairing sneak peeks of upcoming works including exclusive previews of APAC Originals for Disney+, interactive experiences, sessions with stars and directors, alongside storytelling and special merchandise that have become a staple to D23 events.
An official Disney statement noted that D23 Asia in Singapore will deliver a “reimagined experience created specifically for Asia – while staying true to the scale, creativity, and fan-first spirit that define D23 events worldwide".
Based on the most recent edition at Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney in Anaheim, fans enjoyed a slate of over 25 curated presentations from across The Walt Disney Company, alongside major news and reveals such as the release details of Ice Age: Boiling Point, Toy Story announcements and more.
An exact location has yet to be announced for the Singapore edition. More details, including ticketing and programming information, will be announced at a later date.
