Dubai will launch drone delivery services across selected beaches and parks later this year, enabling visitors to access food, beverages, essential items and on-demand services through drone technology.

The citywide initiative, agreed by Dubai Municipality and Keeta Drone, is part of Dubai’s commitment to become a global smart-city leader.

Keeta Drone, which is part of China’s Meituan technology company, and is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, says its drones have been engineered to perform reliably in Dubai’s desert conditions, including high winds, sand, and temperatures exceeding 50°C.

Dubai aims to cover 30% of the city with drone delivery services this year, and expand this coverage to 70% within the next five years.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said, “Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in adopting future technologies that elevate quality of life and transform public spaces into integrated, intelligent environments.

“Through this collaboration with Keeta Drone, Dubai Municipality is creating future-ready public spaces designed around convenience, accessibility, and enhanced visitor experiences.”
