A new platform to end the tedious protocols of email-based booking and manual payment between hotels and online travel agencies has arrived.

Launched by global travel technology company Bakuun, B-Portal is a new white-label portal that gives hotels a self-service channel for their contracted offline travel agencies.

At the moment, contracted rates are still distributed over spreadsheets and PDFs, with bookings confirmed by email. Payment arrives post-checkout without booking reference attached, which could leave hotels exposed to credit risk. Finance teams also have to match transactions manually.

According to the State of Distribution Report 2025 (HEDNA), 80% of hotels spend up to two days a week on manual reporting and reconciliation.

The new portal will allow agencies to check rates and availability, and to complete bookings directly. Payment is processed via Bakuun's embedded bank-to-bank payment network, which integrates with over 250 channel managers and more than 100 currencies.

“Hotels already own these relationships. They should own the booking and the payment infrastructure too," said Marco Bacchilega, founder & CEO, Bakuun.
