Two of Singapore’s major attractions – Sentosa Sensoryscape and Mandai Wildlife Reserve – are introducing a new breed of tourism ambassadors: four-legged, AI-powered robodogs that guide, entertain and interact with visitors in multiple languages.

Launched as a pilot initiative by the Singapore Tourism Board, the robodogs leverage China-based tech partner Mafengwo’s travel content ecosystem to deliver curated storytelling and real-time assistance in English and Mandarin. The programme will run until 17 May 2026.

On Sentosa, the robodogs conduct two daily 20-minute tours at Sentosa Sensoryscape, one of the island’s newer attractions which opened in March 2024. This is on top of three live performances – also at Sentosa Sensoryscape and meet-and-greets at various locations across the island and nearby mega mall VivoCity.

The robotic guides, named Sola, Wan Wan, Lumi, Kopi and Reef, can be booked for complimentary tours via the Sentosa website, ticketing counters, or its WeChat Mini Programme.

At the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, the robodogs will greet guests across its two indoor attractions – Exploria, a 10,000sqm nature-themed immersive multimedia experience, and Curiosity Cove, a 4,600sqm nature-inspired playscape for children and families.

Meanwhile, a free robot guide dog service will be introduced in the third quarter of this year at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome, designed to support visitors with visual disabilities as part of ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive visitor experience.
